Presque Iske County Up North Prevention partnered with Posen Consolidated School and the Unite Corportation to bring the Arrive Alive Tour to 7th-12 grade students. The Arrive Alive Tour simulated Jeep is ranked the #1 texting and drunk driving simulator in the nation.
All students in grades 7th-12th were given the opportunity to experience what it is like to drive a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or using their own cell phone while driving. Each student was able to choose what simulation they wanted and then were given a "ticket" on their performance. The purpose of the simulator is to offer prevention, education, and bring awareness of the dangers texting while driving/distracted driving and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs can have.
Arrive Alive will be back in Posen on October 27th at Posen School's Fall Fest from 11am-3pm, which will then wrap up their tour for Northeast Michigan.
