Atlanta Sporting Event Programs Now Include Prevention Messaging from Substance-Free Athletics

The administration of Atlanta High School has agreed to collaborate with Up North Prevention, the Montmorency Substance-Free Coalition, and the Atlanta Chapter of Students Leading Students to incorporate prevention-focused inserts in their sporting event game programs. These materials will be sourced from Substance-Free Athletics, an organization dedicated to providing the latest scientific evidence about substances and their impact on sports. The inserts will feature messaging that educates athletes, coaches, and parents about the harmful effects of nicotine, alcohol, and marijuana, specifically focusing on how these substances negatively impact athletic performance.
