Strong Community Relationships Builds Strong Communities

In May, the Kalkaska Substance Free Coalition collaborated with the regional "Coffee with a Cop" event coordinator, Suzy Cline, to provide an opportunity for community members to get to know their local law enforcement. The Kalkaska McDonalds provided the venue and coffee for the event. The Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Office and the Michigan State Police both participated in discussions with individuals in the community. All involved look forward to routinely providing these events for the Kalkaska community, to help to build relationships between local law enforcement and the public. Both the Kalkaska Sheriff’s Office and the Michigan State Police have partnered with and participated in numerous events held by the Kalkaska Substance Free Coalition. Building strong community relationships builds strong and resilient communities.
