Members of the Students Leading Students (SLS) program at Alcona recently coordinated an event to help students pledge to be substance free. The Alcona chapter sent four members to home basketball games in December to collect the signatures of their peers that pledged to be substance free and the adults that support them. The members also gave away mental health awareness tee shirts and spoke to students about SLS at Alcona, and how they can get involved. The students collected over 200 signatures of youth and adults, including visiting fans and players.
