Area high school students enjoyed the Alcona Fall Homecoming dance, An Evening in Paris, in October with over 100 youth in attendance. Students enjoyed music, dancing, snacks, themed photo backdrops, as well as the Selfie 360 machine, provided and staffed by Up North Prevention, Catholic Human Services (CHS). Student Council Advisor, Tammy Nelson, notes that the event is strengthened by CHS staff - “The kids love the selfie machine - and so do the adult chaperones… we’re happy to have Up North Prevention as a partner in this event!” The 15 second video clips are downloaded by students and shared by text message and across various social media platforms.
