Up North Prevention Attends Crawford County Health Fair

Crawford County had its first Health Fair on September 5th, 2024, put together by District Health Department #10 and held at the Crawford County Commission on Aging. The theme was the Seven Rings of Wellness. There were many classes to educate and entertain people based around these areas of wellness. Fun classes like self-defense, line dancing, and yoga were taught. Many different agencies were represented and shared information and resources with community members. There were outdoor games, massages, and activities for children. Meals and snacks were provided. The Crawford Christian Help Center provided a food truck with fresh produce for participants as well. It was a successful and fun event with 138 community members attending. Up North Prevention brought the 360 Selfie Machine which was a huge hit for participants and agencies. Families and friends enjoyed having their picture taken and wearing the props. We also provided drug prevention resources like Deterra and Narcan, and important information on recovery and prevention efforts. Fun was had by all!
