Catholic Human Services/Up North Prevention is offering Naloxone training virtually for any who are interested. Those who may benefit from this instruction may include direct health care workers, counselors, people who use prescription opioid pain killers, people who struggle with Opioid Use Disorder, and anyone who may be in contact with who may be at risk for overdose.

Naloxone is a medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. This training teaches the signs of an opioid overdose, the proper steps to take, and the proper administration of naloxone

This training is free to those ages 18 and up in Northern Michigan. The training is offered regularly on Fridays throughout the month. To participate in the class, the attendee will need to have access to a computer with a camera and audio capability, as well as an internet connection to connect with Zoom.
